The Novel Coronavirus and its associated illness, Covid-19, have continued to spread throughout the world. While the virus initially reported low numbers in the United States, the total number of cases has climbed above 1,000. There are also more than 20,000 people being monitored for the virus after potentially coming into contact with infected individuals.

Here are the states with the highest reported Covid-19 cases, along with additional information about the current actions being taken at the state level.

Washington: 373 Cases

Washington State has been struggling to contain the novel coronavirus with 373 cases reported to date. Among those cases, there have been 30 confirmed deaths and only 1 recovery, thus far. The virus has yet to be contained and officials are struggling to deliver enough tests to those in need.

Reminder: Individuals with compromised immune, such as anyone receiving chemotherapy, and individuals who are 55 or older, are more susceptible to succumbing to the disease.
